We could not have had a better time on our visit to Florence. It was not because the wine, the waether, the shopping, the golf, the city and the people were all wonderful, (which they were!), but because you welcomed us like family. How can we thank you enough for the beautiful vacation we passed in your Villa. The Villa, your hospitality and the beautiful surroundings all made for a very magical stay in Italy. Paola, you were so gracious and accommodating always thinking of us and how to make our stay more enjoyable. Thank you for being you and for all you did to make our visit so wonderful. We spent the last week on the Italian Riviera with our friends--more great food, wine and beautiful scenery! We just arrived home this Sunday so we are a little jet lagged but full of beautiful memories and a relaxed state of mind. Paola, if ever you have the chance to come visit us here in Sherman, CT on one of your visits to NY, please do let us know. You are like a friend now and we would love to host you! It is only a 90 minute train ride from Grand Central. Dear Paola,
For Bob and I, our time at Villa Calcinaia is coming to an end. I had hoped to spend a little time with you, and meet your cinque gatto, as I have tre gatto. One is all white, (bianco), but with a codo nero (black tail). We have very much enjoyed our stay here, and we love the country and the people. Everyone has been very gracious and helpful. We have friends who plan a trip to Tuscana, and will recommend your lovely villa to them. Bob and I will leave on Wednesday morning, and would like to pay whatever charges you require for housekeeping to prepare our room for the next guests. Please email me at this address with the charge, and we will make sure to see you before we leave. Also, would there be any chance that you would consider emailing a copy of your son's photo that appears on the wallpaper of this computer to our home address of bobnglo@adelphia.net? We would be more than happy to respond with a photo of Bob's son Dean. The resemblance is in the eyes. We leave on the treno for Venice in the morning. Will look forward to hearing from you.

How are you? I hope all is well with you and your family. I’ve been meaning to write to you, but we’ve been so busy since we returned home from our Italy vacation and I am just now finding the time. We had a wonderful trip in Italy!!! And, by far, our stay at your villa was the highlight of the trip. Everything was wonderful and I wanted to express our appreciation. We spent two days in Venice after we left your villa. Venice is a beautiful city. And we flew home on Monday July 7th. With all vacations we now have memories that will last a lifetime. And, again thank you for your wonderful hospitality. I have not heard from you regarding our security deposit. Please let me know the status.
